Systems, like Pogoplug, which allow external hard drive content to be accessed through the internet, could transform the dependencies we have on our data. Having carried my macbook pro around nearly everyday for the past few years, the liberation from any particular machine is incredibly appealing. This could incite an even more seamless transition between work and play and otherwise, or could at least alleviate the annoyance of showing up to dinners, drinks, and shows with a computer at my side. Although, the lack of hard drive space is hardly a concern, having full access to hard drive content could also transform the way that we store our information and archiving.
